The PARATROOPers is a group of Long COVID sufferers participating in the RECOVER research initiative and other Long COVID studies. We work together to help the scientists and medical professionals working to understand Long COVID by informing their research and providing input on the design and implementation of their studies and clinical trials based on our lived experience.
Our name
The word PARATROOPers is an acronym formed from the phrase PARticipAnT Research wOrk grOuP. We chose this name because we see ourselves as paratroopers on the front lines of the fight to understand, treat, and prevent Long COVID.
